How to Fade Dark Spots

Noticed darker patches in some areas of your skin? Dark spots may be caused by hyperpigmentation or scarring from wounds or acne, and result from enzymatic activities that produce excess melanin in the skin. If you’re like us and want skin that is even and bright, try these simple remedies to fade dark spots:

Use products with vitamin C: Vitamin C is a potent brightening agent that inhibits the production of irregular pigmentation, causing dark spots to fade over time. Vitamin C comes in different forms and is present in lemon, mulberry and cranberry extracts, all found in our Eden’s Elixir. After cleansing, pour a few drops on a cotton pad and go over the skin in gentle motions, focusing on the dark patches.

Use products with chamomile: Chamomile contains polyphenols which preserve your skin from environmental damage caused by free radicals, key players in abnormal discoloration of the skin. A gift from nature, you’ll find chamomile in our Purity Mask. Activate the mask with a little water and gently apply to problem areas using a brush or your fingertips. Leave for 10 – 15 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Use yoghurt: Yoghurt is another natural ingredient great for brightening the skin and should be easy to find at your local supermarket. Yoghurt contains lactic acid, a gentle AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) that reduces skin discoloration by lifting off dead skin cells. Create an exfoliating treatment for yourself at home by mixing greek yoghurt with pure honey. Apply the mixture to your face and massage in circular motions then leave on for 5 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

My legs are mostly covered with dark spots resulting from Chickenpox since when I was little. My hands also, but quite fewer. Which of your products will you recommend for me, Arami?
